Syfy UK Sets Premiere Date For ‘Haven’ Season 4

The fourth season of Haven will receive its UK premiere on Syfy UK on Thursday September 26th at 9pm, it has been announced.

Based on Stephen King’s novella The Colorado Kid, Haven tells the story of Audrey Parker, an FBI agent who comes to the idyllic town of  Haven, Maine on assignment only to discover a personal connection to the town through her long lost mother. Audrey opts to stay in Haven to investigate ‘The  Troubles’, a series of paranormal events that have previously struck the town and have suddenly started up again. The drama series is produced by Entertainment One and stars Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour. The show’s fourth season picks up six months after the devastating events of the Season 3 cliff-hanger, in which the town was pummelled by a violent meteor storm, resulting in Audrey and Duke vanishing into thin air leaving an injured Nathan marooned in Haven.

Matt's Inside Line: Scoop on Haven

WARNING: This post contains spoilers

Do you have any scoop on Haven? Will Nathan and Audrey be reunited early in the season? –Stephanie Early might be stretching it. Granted, I’ve only seen the season premiere thus far, but there are obstacles a-plenty standing in the way of them finding each other. For one, Nathan is kinda persona non grata, seeing as his actions in the finale failed to do squat. (Jordan, for one, is very much not a fan of his.) Secondly, Audrey doesn’t believe she needs to be “found,” wherever she now is. In fact, she seems pretty content just kicking back and schmoozing Colin Ferguson’s charming mystery man.

Syfy’s ‘Haven’ Gets Graphic Novel Treatment In Season 3 DVD Release

Fans of the Syfy supernatural drama won’t have to wait until Haven returns for a fourth season on September 13 to learn what happened right after the explosive Season 3 finale. The Season 3 DVD set of the series will include an exclusive Haven: After The Storm mini-graphic novel. With 100,000 copies printed, the 16-page comic details the immediate aftershock of the meteor-falling season ender on the mysterious town of Haven, Maine. Among other things, that finale saw FBI agent-turned-local cop Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) and the Duke Crocker (Eric Balfour) character disappear into a vanishing barn.

"The Hunter. It's Not a Person. It's a Meteor Storm"

Duke: I need to talk to you.
Audrey: Sure.

Duke: If it were me, I'd want to know.
Audrey: What?
Duke: The hunter. It's not a person. It's a meteor storm. It comes out of the Orion constellation. It hits every 27 years. When you were Lucy, and before that, when you were Sarah, the night of the hunter meteor storm is the night that you disappeared both times.
Audrey: Where did I go?
Duke: I don't know. You just... vanished.
Audrey: When's the next one?
Duke: Two months.
Audrey: Two months?
Duke: 49 days.

Matt's Inside Line: Scoop on Haven

With all the craziness that went down in the season finale, are we going to be seeing a whole new Haven or will it still be Audrey’s story? –Aimee
As Season 4 opens on Sept. 13, the titular town will be “going through some serious growing pains,” EPs Matt McGuinness and Gabrielle Stanton tell the Inside Line. “Of course Audrey will be there — Haven and Audrey are inexorably tied — but it’s a ‘difficult’ union. The real questions are: Who is Audrey? Where did she come from? Who does she really love? And we’ll dealing with that big-time this season!”

Haven Casts Dexter's Ice Truck Killer as Duke's Brother

Haven Casts Dexter's Ice Truck Killer as Duke's Brother, Plus More Season 4 News

Dexter Morgan and Duke Crocker have kin in common.

Christian Camargo, who on Dexter played Brian Moser aka Dex’s brother aka the Ice Truck Killer, is joining Haven Season 4 in the recurring role of Duke’s estranged half-sibling Wade, Syfy announced on Thursday.

Described as “charming, driven, and slightly devious,” Wade is a successful businessman seemingly at the top of his game by in reality haunted by a dark and lethal family secret.

In other Season 4 news, the Syfy series has cast Hellcats alum Emma Lahana as Jennifer Mason, a slightly off-kilter young lady who hears strange voices in her head — voices that could produce valuable clues about Audrey Parker’s whereabouts. As Jennifer digs into her own personal history, it is revealed she may have a bigger role to play in the town’s strange happenings.

The Hollywood Reporter first reported on the two castings.

Haven returns with new episodes on Friday, Sept. 13.
