BAG OF BONES: Stephen King to Make Cameo?

Yes, we heard rumours the man himself would make an appearance on HAVENStephen King wrote “The Colorado Kid” on which the series was based, so it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch – after all he’s appeared in 18 other projects based on his works. To be clear we’re located in the same town where the production was headquartered, so fair to say there’s lots of fodder 'round these parts.  We never did run with the rumour and he never did show.

Jason Priestley Joins "Bag Of Bones"

Jason Priestley has been cast in the project, playing the main character’s literary agent. Bones is based on a Stephen King novel about a writer (Pierce Brosnan) trying to recover from the death of his wife while staying at their lakeside retreat in Maine, where he begins to realize she still has something to tell him. The news comes after Priestley just joined the cast of another cable project based on a King novel — Syfy’s Haven.

The Trouble With Love

Ah love…complicated at the best of times – but in HAVEN – well it’s darn near impossible.

The hit show about the tiny town that wrestles with everything from blood gushing sprinkler systems to ravenous tree roots has kept lead character Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) for the most part - focused on fixing it.  A dedication to duty that left the lovely FBI agent with all work and no play…until now.

In fact you might even say it was “Audrey Parker’s Day Off” that altered her view on this thing called L-O-V-E.

Review: Audrey Parker's Day Off

There's a lot going on in Haven this week. It's career day for one. Taco Tuesday for two. And three, it's the morning after for Audrey and Chris. But afterglow aside, it's also, apparently, "Groundhog Day".

It's obvious that for this season the writers have decided to pepper the episodes with tried and tested sci-fi ideas. Last week had the man-eating plants. Before that it was animated power tools. And tonight we get the
stuck in a time loop episode.

Emily Rose Dishes on the Many Men of Audrey Parker

After last week’s surprising reveal in which Audrey and Chris Brody (Jason Priestly) took their blossoming relationship to the next level, this week’s upcoming episode entitled “Audrey Parker’s Day Off” gives Audrey a chance to look at how much her competing love interests mean to her.  Given the chance (or perhaps curse) to relive the same day over and over again, Audrey assesses her relationships with Nathan, Duke and Chris.  Talking time out of her busy schedule to chat with press, Emily Rose candidly shared her perspective on the show and many loves of Audrey Parker.

For the upcoming episode “Audrey’s Day Off,” since actors have to do so many takes on a scene, was it easier to relate to Audrey repeating the same day over and over?
EMILY:
No, and that’s a great question. It was just really a challenge for me. I remember going through the script and writing the timeline out of what was occurring. Through the day I would because — based on a production schedule — I would have to do the day repeating in the same location just at different levels.

Last Day of Shooting

The last day of production for Season 2 is set for today, August 19, 2011, and while there’s no word on a third season – fans of the series are growing along with the show’s ratings so we are hopeful indeed. And we’ll for sure keep you posted.

Audrey Parker's Day Off Sneak Peek

Co-Creator Sam Ernst Talks About the Audrey-Duke-Nathan Triangle

On Syfy’s HAVEN, new characters may pop up from time to time, but the core group is what keeps us (fine, I’ll speak for myself — it keeps me) coming back for more.
I talked with HAVEN co-creator Sam Ernst about the complexities of the Duke-Audrey-Nathan relationship, the Duke-Nathan friendship and why there are some words Duke won’t use…

There’s triangle of sorts between Audrey, Duke and Nathan. Sometimes it seems like it’s romantically tinged and other times it feels more like they’re a family unit. Are you going to delve more into romance between any of these characters?
Sam Ernst:
The short, incomplete answer is yes. What we’re trying to do is…when you put a man and a woman together — partners or friends — the first question you want to know is are they going to sleep together. I don’t know why that is but it just is. [Laughs] And I know that with Nathan and Audrey, there were mash-up videos about the two of them four episodes in on season one. And we had not even explored that at all. In episode eight when the big reveal was that Nathan could feel Audrey’s touch — when she gave him a chaste, friendly kiss — we knew that changes the dynamic between them because you have a man who cannot feel anybody and the only woman, the only person he can feel or even get physically intimate with is his partner, his friend. That’s pretty powerful stuff.

‘Haven’ To Integrate Twitter Into Upcoming Season

The Syfy series “Haven” will utilize micro-blogging service Twitter as a storytelling device in Season 2 starting Aug 12.

“The ‘Haven’ writers and producers have done an amazing job of crafting a story line that seamlessly moves between the TV show and Twitter,” explained Craig Engler, general manager and senior vice president of Syfy Digital. “Although there have been simple integrations before, no one has fully and organically integrated Twitter into the fabric of the show in the way ‘Haven’ is doing. If you watch ‘Haven’ and use Twitter, you’re in for a real treat.”

It's only been a few months, but it's clear that the world desperately misses WWE legend Edge, since he abruptly retired from the ring due to injury. Well this Friday, August 5th, Adam "Edge" Copeland will appear on Syfy's supernatural small town series Haven as a badass "fix it" man named Dwight. According to the cable network, Priestly has signed on to guest star in four episodes of the fantasy series on Aug. 5, Aug. 12, Aug. 19 and Sept. 9.

Priestly will direct the Sept. 9 episode as well.

Syfy said Priestly will play Chris Weekly on “Haven,” who is described as “a handsome but anti-social marine biologist who is forced to deal with an affliction most would consider a blessing –everyone suddenly loves him and will do anything he wants.”

Edge To Appear In Four Episodes Of Haven

WWE Superstar Edge will join the cast of Syfy’s popular series Haven for four episodes in the role of “Dwight Hendrickson,” beginning Friday, August 5, at 10PM (ET/PT), immediately following tag team partner Friday Night Smackdown at 8PM (ET/PT).

A former Army Ranger felled by a supernatural affliction in Afghanistan, Dwight puts his tactical skills to use in Haven as the mysterious “Cleaner.” Working in the shadows, he does the dirty work when it comes to covering up supernatural events — manipulating evidence, making things and people disappear — but when the new police chief (Lucas Bryant) reaches out to him, Dwight’s role expands and brings him face to face with the forces that nearly killed him on the battlefield.
In addition to the August 5 episode of Haven, Edge will guest star in the September 9, September 16 and September 23 episodes.
