Lucas Bryant Spills on that Big Kiss and Tonight's Season Finale

There's been big stuff brewing on Syfy's Haven, and life's about to get even more challenging for the show's characters on the season-two cliffhanging finale, said actor Lucas Bryant. While the Canadian actor promises we'll learn some of the character's secrets, don't expect to find out too much.

[Spoilers ahead]

"I mean, you get some great answers, learn some crazy stuff. And we'll see if people think that it's as rug-pulling as the season-one finale was. But ... there are some definite cliffhangers. I mean, it would be nice to say that everything is revealed and they figure out how to end the Troubles and everyone lives happily ever after. But we want to do another 10 seasons," said Bryant.

5 Teases for the Season Finale

  1. Three dead fathers attempt to guide their sons…
  2. Duke may have found the tattooed man…
  3. Someone gives Audrey a ring…
  4. Beware visitors bearing tasers…
  5. Pay close attention, someone in Haven wants to resurrect someone else…

Q&A with Emily Rose

This interview has information about the beginning of Season 2, but it's always good to go back and read the good stuff.
This interview is for Australian fans, there, Season 2 premieres on October 6th.

At the end of season one another FBI agent turned up in Haven and announced herself as Audrey Parker. What is going on?!
You know, before we shot the finale last year, I read the script and I freaked out! I called the writer and said, “What does this mean? Are you recasting me? Did I not do a good job? You’re putting another Audrey in!” But the new character is fantastic and it creates some great scenes to have someone who has the same memories as my Audrey and finishes her sentences.

So who on Earth is our Audrey?
Well, all this has led to many questions for her. If you looked back at your life and were like, “Wait a second; all my memories, the school I went to, all my decisions, you’re telling me they are not mine, that’s not me?” That’s scary! She is thinking, “Who am I, if I’m not this person? I’m not even a freaking agent any more? Who does that mean I am?” So we have dropped a huge bomb in Audrey’s front yard, she is in shock, but what she does know is that she can help people. Whoever the hell she is, she knows this one thing about herself, so she does what she does best and she is excited about solving a ‘Trouble’ every week in our one-hour show.

We’re All For Eric Balfour

HAVEN star ERIC BALFOUR

Last night I had a dream about HAVEN star Eric Balfour.  There – I admit it.

I was chasing him trying… trying to retrieve an envelope containing secret documents…somehow he managed to escape my pursuit by jumping on an elevator…then my alarm went off.  I’m certain it had something to do with watching the above trailer for tonight’s episode of the Syfy/Showcase series entitled “Business As Usual” just before bed time.

Ratings: Business as Usual

Last Friday, Haven was down a tenth vs. last week to a 0.5 in the adults 18-49 rating, and it was also down in viewers.

18-49 adults: 0.5
Viewers: 1.868 million.

I wonder if the decrease has something to do with the fall shows premieres. 0.5 is still very good.

So, I guess we won't be getting that gag reel Eric Balfour promised, huh?

Anyway, season finale is next Friday, so mark your calendars!

Review: Business As Usual

Did we know that Duke had an iguana before tonight? Does it have a name? What does it eat?

These are things I need to know.

OK, so maybe
not. Especially with there being SO much other stuff going on in "Business as Usual". Stuff with Duke's magic box. It's got a larger variation that contains... wait for it...ninja gear! Guns, blades, slinging stars. The lot! But so what, right? Yeah, that's what I thought. Until Duke pretty much transformed into the hulk and tossed Dwight over the side of his boat! WTF! Love it.

And what might be even BIGGER Haven news, Nathan discovers the location of Lucy Ripley, who apparently has been waiting 27 years for Audrey to return. She spins a web about how in a past life Audrey uncovered the truth of the troubles and found a way to stop them. Then she was erased! The secret lost forever and history allowed to repeat itself until, presumably, the cycle started again with present day Audrey arriving at Haven once again.

What could cause something like the troubles to happen, and who would want to keep it secret? And why?

Haven Continues To Be A Summer Thriller

Warning: Season 2 Spoilers

As the second season of Syfy’s supernatural series HAVEN wraps up its summer season for a long winter of hibernation, fans are holding their breath wondering if the big mythology arcs of this season will be nicely tied up with a bow, or if we will be left-hanging with a wallop of a cliff-hanger.   Either way, we are sitting on the edge of our seats, anxiously awaiting what is next.

After a summer filled with doppelgangers, a thief stealing abilities, renegade machines, demonic trees, time-loops, fish people, a man whose dark side manifests in copycats, a poisonous abuse victim, and flesh eating children, HAVEN has explored a variety of creepy and yet haunting stories of those affected by the “troubles” and the agony it wreaks in their lives – and all does not necessary end well for those caught up in these events.   For some, living in the town of Haven is not a blessing, but it is a curse and one that they desperately would love to have gone from their lives.

Happy Haven Night!

Good morning everyone, thank God it's Friday! And Haven night.

Don't miss an all-new Haven, episode 11, "Business as Usual" airs tonight on Syfy.

You all did an incredible job last week with the great ratings, so we expect the same kind of support for tonight, wishing for a Season 3 renewal.

Episode looks amazing.

Review: Who, What, Where, Wendigo?

If Audrey's role as protector of the troubled was ever in doubt before tonight, it really shouldn't be anymore following "Who, What, Where, Wendigo?".

What a fantastic episode!

I've got to say how pleased
I am that the writers didn't hold back from pulling the rug out. It might have been easy (and predictable) to save the shock of Audrey shooting the "rev" for the season finale. He's been set up as the show's big bad pretty well by now, and as such we wouldn't necessarily be expecting him to get the chop so soon. But, of course, he does!

Nice Season 1 Review

I’m ashamed to admit when I first heard about Haven, I didn’t pay that much attention.  I know I should stop judging shows before I watch them.  But I just heard the name “Haven” and thought:  syfy and witches and I’m just not in the mood.  Ok.  I was wrong.  Very wrong.  It’s not about witches at all.  It’s about a small town in Maine where very strange things happen because there is something, shall we say, afflicting, some of the inhabitants.

Review: Lockdown

Just when you thought things in Haven couldn't get any worse than "the rev", Chief Merrill shows up... and he's a douchebag. Thankfully... the virus gets him! Good thing, too, as I wasn't sure I could make it through an entire episode with that guy at the helm. Didn't he go a bit nuts with the contagion/lockdown thing? Get a grip buddy!

But it was his OTT command style that sorta put me off the scent with tonight's show. I wasn't ready for it when he bought the farm and fell over like he did. Shocking stuff. Then again, the whole episode was pretty shocking. I mean, not only did Merrill bite it, but Evi as well.

What is a Wendigo?

According to Wikipedia, a Wendigo "(also known as Windigo, Weendigo, Windago, Waindigo, Windiga, Witiko, Wihtikow, and numerous other variants)[1] is a mythical creature appearing in the mythology of the Algonquian people. It is a malevolent cannibalistic spirit which can transform into humans, or which could possess humans. Those who indulged in cannibalism were at particular risk,[2] and the legend appears to have reinforced this practice as a taboo."
